01 THE NAME
OLD NORSE ROOT

Trauston is an invented modern name developed from the Old Norse root traust.

The name was chosen not because trust could be claimed at the company’s founding, but because it establishes the standard Trauston must spend its lifetime earning.

The final “-on” gives the word the structure of an institution rather than merely a description. Trauston is therefore both a name and a direction: a company continually moving toward greater reliability, stronger judgment, and a reputation worthy of confidence.
